*Wormsley (Principal)
Welcome and Greetings followed by the approval of the minutes from the last
meeting. It was made known that the meeting notes would be made public on
the School’s website for viewing.
Next, a summary of the Local School Advisory Team (LSAT) was thoroughly read
and viewed to ensure that every member on the committee was aware of the
roles of the committee.
We discussed ways to improve parental involvement for 20-21 and Principal
Wormsley assured us that many avenues are taken to get parents involved.
Principal Wormsley filled in the Team about concerns of staff due to shortage of
enrollment. He made it clear that Luke failed short of the Enrollment target and
he will have to wait for the budget to come out late January or February to
determine the impact. At present, he did not have the answer but will inform us
when he is informed. The committee wanted to know if there was any thing they
could do to make sure that no one loose their job in June because the Pandemic
affected us in a major way and we are hoping that it would be taken into
consideration.
Principal was asked to share his plan to bring back approximately 35 students to
Luke in November for in-person learning. He shared his plan to bring students in
safely with social distancing. He made it clear that staff members who will render
the service are on a voluntary basis and no one was pressured.
Finally, the Recharge week plan was shared with the Team to see hear our views.
